7.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Midday Supervisor to help ensure the safety, welfare and enjoyment of our pupils during the midday break. This includes supporting positive behaviour, promoting healthy play, and maintaining a calm, respectful environment across the lunch period, typically between 11:30am and 12.30pm.

Lift Hamford is a vibrant school within the Lift Schools network that achieved a good status in November 2022 and serves our coastal community. We strive to ensure that children get the best opportunities to achieve the highest possible outcomes and that high-quality learning is at the heart of everything we do.

As part of this role, you will also support pupils in our brand-new nursery class for two, three and four year olds, which is opening in January 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity to help shape a nurturing and inclusive lunchtime experience for our youngest learners.

You will:
  • Supervise pupils during the lunch break, including those in our new nursery class
  • Support pupils' wellbeing and encourage positive interactions during the midday period
  • Promote healthy, safe and inclusive play for all children, adapting activities to meet the needs of younger pupils
  • Be vigilant to behaviour or welfare concerns and report incidents as appropriate
  • Help maintain a clean and safe lunchtime environment, including in the nursery and dining areas
You will need to bring:
  • A calm, friendly and proactive approach
  • Confidence in engaging with children and managing behaviour positively
  • The ability to work as part of a team and follow safeguarding policies
  • Experience supervising children (as a parent, carer, or in a school is desirable)
