If you love gardening, art, museums and social media, this is the job for you!
The Marketing Officer is an integral role in the Garden Museum’s marketing team. You will promote the museum’s work across an exciting and varied mix of programming including exhibitions exploring the relationship between art and gardening; a lively talks programme of garden designers and writers in conversation; art, cooking and gardening workshops; plant fairs and floral design festivals. The role also supports marketing the museum’s community learning projects and commercial activity, and our new project restoring and reviving Cedric Morris’ home and garden at Benton End in Suffolk.
On a typical day you might find yourself filming a video with our gardeners for social media, designing a poster for British Flowers Week, researching new ways to reach garden-loving audiences for design talks, editing a Q&A with a botanical artist for our popular weekly newsletter, or pulling together digital stats to evaluate our content and audiences for monthly reports.
The Garden Museum has successfully developed a digital audience with its own identity which we wish to invest in and further develop. The museum’s weekly talks programme is available to watch online, either livestreamed or on-demand, and as the Marketing Officer you will support the development of this audience and income stream through digital marketing activity, including editing clips for social media. Attending some evening events may be required.
Reporting to the Head of Communications & Digital, this is a role suitable for a motivated and ambitious museum marketing professional with a particular interest in digital marketing and storytelling through engaging and impactful content creation.
