Job Summary

Job Summary:
Leads the full spectrum of field based Applications Support functions for HPLC, ICSP, TEA, and DIA product lines across Northern Europe (United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Nordic countries). The role is responsible for leading the regional Applications team and coordinating all related activities.

Key responsibilities include planning, initiating, executing, and evaluating initiatives to achieve the goals of each product line—covering sales support, technical consultation, customer engagement, and product-focused training. Acts as a crucial component of the European Applications organization, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective knowledge sharing across regions.

The position requires the incumbent to be located within the area of responsibility.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead and inspire the team to achieve their goals.
    • Conduct annual performance reviews and gather feedback.
    • Promote continuous learning and skill development.
    • Cultivate a supportive and balanced work environment.
    • Guide the team through change with a positive approach.
  • Customer and Sales Support:
    • Ensure high-quality support before and after sales.
    • Collaborate with product and marketing teams.
    • Manage pre- and post-sales activities using SFDC.
    • Drive PPI initiatives to enhance business processes and boost customer satisfaction.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Share successful project outcomes with European labs, experts, factory, and sales and marketing departments.
    • Relay market insights and customer feedback to management and relevant teams.
    • Develop a strong internal network and collaborate closely with sales managers, Customer Solution Center, and HR partners in the EMEA region.
  • Developing plans and putting them into action:
    • Develop strategies to support business priorities.
    • Promote effective use of management tools (e.g., SFDC, R.A.D.A.R., Key Performance Indicators, PPI systems).
    • Demonstrate ability to work independently and meet timelines and targets.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of sales processes and systems, including SFDC.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, effective across all levels and regions.
  • Business-focused with a keen understanding of customer needs.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Direct or matrix management experience preferred.
  • High proficiency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region and Europe.
  • Valid driving license required.
