Job Description
Duties of the Governance Manager:
- Design and implement governance frameworks and policies
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Coordinate risk management activities and promote a risk-aware culture
- Provide guidance to the board and senior management on governance matters
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment
- Plan and execute training programmes for staff on governance-related topics
- Prepare and present reports on governance, compliance, and risk management
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between different organisational levels
The Successful Applicant
A successful Governance Manager should have:
- A degree in Law, Business, or related fields
- Proven experience in a governance, compliance, or risk management role in the Not For Profit/ housing sector
- Strong knowledge of governance principles and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in risk management and internal control practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
