About the role | Ko te kaupapa

We have an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our Parks & Reserves team based in Rolleston. In this role, you’ll play an important part in maintaining the parks and gardens that make the Selwyn District thrive. Working alongside a supportive team, you’ll help keep our community spaces vibrant and inviting.

Your responsibilities will include the maintenance of parks and reserves, both on a reactive or scheduled basis, in line with contract specifications. This involves garden care, annual bedding displays (planting and maintenance), vegetation control, horticultural spraying, basic weeding, line trimming, and mulching.
