Job description

We're looking for friendly, positive volunteers to support the delivery of our food share initiative which provides access to food supplies for many individuals and families across the City.

Duties will include restocking shelves, stock rotation, keeping the area clean and tidy and chatting and supporting those accessing the service.

The service is open Monday to Friday from 11 am to 2 pm, with flexible times available to volunteer during these days.

Relevant training will be provided e.g. Food Safety, First Aid Certificates and any relevant PVG checks arranged free of charge.

Our initiative helps to reduce the amount of food being wasted and is part of our communities efforts to reduce our carbon footprint while helping those in need to access vital food support.

Support

Relevant training and excellent support is provided to all volunteers. A short induction will be provided on the first day with relevant online and on the job training provided thereafter.

Frequency & commitment

Flexible times available-all help greatly appreciated.

Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
