Location: Northfleet, Kent, United Kingdom

Overview

We are a Fruit Packing Factory. As a Hygiene Operative, you will play an important role in PrepWorld. Working across all of the production areas Hygiene Operatives are responsible for ensuring that all machines and the facility meet strict standards of hygiene at all times working as part of the team. Making sure all designated areas are clean and tidy and relevant cleaning issues are adhered to.

Main duties
  • Carrying out scheduled daily cleaning tasks and paperwork are filled in.
  • Ensure PPE dispensers are filled.
  • Cleaning of production lines and processing equipment to meet required standards, measured through testing of samples.
  • Making sure that everything you do complies with company procedures for Hygiene, Food Safety and H&S
  • Ensuring that your cleaning and personal protective equipment are functioning correctly at all times
  • Reporting any incidents or environmental concerns to your Team Leader/Section Leader
  • All cleaning materials are put back in the Hygiene store room and in good condition at the end of the cleaning
  • Any damage to cleaning equipment or personal protective equipment must be reported to your Team Leader and Supervisor.
  • Any machinery must be turned off and cleaned in the safe and proper manner
  • The role involves some manual handling and the ability to withstand working in cold storage conditions on a daily basis
  • The role requires an alert disposition, working in the vicinity of forklift and moving machinery

  • Willing and able to do 12 hours shifts
  • Willing and able to clean in sometimes a wet and cold environment (fleeces and hats / PPE provided!)
  • Willing and able to commute to our exact location for the hours of work (below)
  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability

This advert is for Wednesday to Saturday Nights (Alternates can be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday - exact night of work will be discussed and agreed in interview)

18:00 - 06:00 (Night shift)

Pay

starting at £12.91 per hour (level 1) climbing to £13.27 per hour (level 2) and then £13.89 per hour (level 3) following a training and development plan.
