Overview

Starship Technologies is revolutionizing deliveries with autonomous robots. These robots are designed to deliver food, groceries, and packages across college campuses and neighborhoods in minutes. Starship has now completed millions of autonomous deliveries to date, traveled millions of miles, and is currently doing more than 140k road crossings each day. Our contribution to society includes reducing congestion, and pollution, providing zero-emissions deliveries, increasing the quality of life for residents, empowering seniors and disabled people, and enabling affordable delivery for local businesses.

As a Field Assistant, you will join our Operations team and play an essential part in our mission to provide the world with affordable and environment-friendly deliveries. Every day, our robots are completing thousands of autonomous deliveries in the US, UK and Europe, and we’re hitting records on an almost weekly basis. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the health of our global fleet of robots. This is a hybrid role that will involve cleaning and re-deploying robots at our partner’s locations in and around Leeds and Sheffield, as well as supporting operational and maintenance activities in the Leeds hub. The role will also contain learning technical aspects of the robot and carrying out maintenance work.

NB! Please note that this position is a full-time role, consisting of 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, with an initial contract of 6 months. The working hours are between 2pm-10pm. The salary for this position is 12.50£/hour.

Your main responsibilities
  • Deploying and picking up robots to and from our commercial partner’s sites in Leeds, Sheffield and surrounding areas.
  • Daily cleaning of the robots at each of our partner locations, in line with Food Hygiene Standards
  • Supporting and maintaining the health of our global fleet of robots.
  • Updating tracking spreadsheets and dashboard used in day-to-day operations.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance tasks and audit checklists at stores.
  • Maintaining hub-based warehouse tasks and regular inventories.
