Job Title: Contract Mechanical Design Engineer

Contract Duration: 6 - 12 month contract (rolling)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer with Inventor or SolidWorks experience to undertake a varied long-term contract.

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a solid background in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks to work across a number of key New Product Development projects, undertaking detailed conceptual design and supporting the complete project life-cycle. You will also support re-engineering and existing product upgrades.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake Mechanical Design of New Product Development (complete product life-cycle)
• Undertake detailed designs using 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Inventor)
• Concept Generation
• Produce Documentation to support Development
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven mechanical design experience within a fast-paced development environment (Ideally 4-5 years min)
• Experience working on instrumentation of similar complex electro-mechanical products
• 3D CAD - SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
• Full Product Life-cycle Design Experience
