Vacancy

As Sales Manager England at Hendrik Veder Group, you are responsible for driving sales growth in the Manufacturing & Solutions division, focusing primarily on the English market while being based in Aberdeen, Scotland. Irrespective of your home location in the UK, we expect you to be 25% of your time in our Aberdeen Office. Your role involves acquiring orders from existing and new customers in the Marine and Industry Business in accordance with agreed sales targets, identifying potential clients, and developing relationships that align with Hendrik Veder Group’s strategy to maximize sales potential. You will issue offers, negotiate contracts, and draw up an annual marketing and sales plan with concrete objectives and activities. This position requires you to oversee projects from announcement to completion, spending approximately 25-50% of your time traveling throughout England.

You will collaborate closely with the Business Development Manager Marine & Industry England, who works remotely and spends part of their time in Aberdeen. Additionally, you will be part of a dedicated Sales team that includes another Manager of Business Development for England, two Sales Managers based in Aberdeen, and five Inside Sales professionals.

Working week

On an enjoyable workday, you meet with a new client eager to discuss expanding their business. You present the products and explore ways to deepen the partnership.

On a less enjoyable workday, you deal with an unhappy client frustrated by a delay in our delivery. You must manage their concerns while working to resolve the issue promptly.

  • 07:00 - Visiting existing client to discuss needs and explore order opportunities
  • 08:00 - Meeting potential client to present products and services
  • 09:00 - Lunch
  • 10:00 - Preparing quotes and negotiate contracts with new clients
  • 11:00 - Updating sales orders and activities in CRM
  • 12:00 - Introductory meeting with new client to explore collaboration
  • 13:00 - Developing annual marketing and sales plan with objectives
  • 14:00 - Traveling to a client in southern England for presentation
  • 15:00 - Visiting client to discuss product needs and feedback
  • 16:00 - Following up on leads with potential clients via phone
  • 17:00 - Preparing sales administration and CRM updates
  • 18:00 - Meeting with Business Development Manager to discuss strategy
  • 19:00 - Lunch
  • 20:00 - Evaluating collaboration with existing client and explore expansion
  • 21:00 - Meeting new maritime client for acquisition
  • 22:00 - Updating annual sales and marketing plan with actions
  • 23:00 - Following up calls with clients for questions or complaints
  • 24:00 - Team meeting with sales team in Aberdeen or admin tasks
  • 25:00 - Planning travel and preparing next week’s agenda, including client visits
