  • Experience: Solid Background in strategy, business growth, corporate development, or a related field, preferably within the infrastructure or construction sector.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth and competitive advantage.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial modelling, budgeting, and business case development skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in market research and strategy development.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex insights clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence decision-making at a senior level.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualisation tools.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience working with senior leadership, clients, and industry stakeholders.
Your contribution to our company

The Business Strategist will play a key role in shaping and executing STRABAG UK’s infrastructure growth strategy. You will analyse market opportunities, develop business cases, and work cross-functionally to support decision-making and long-term business success.

  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify industry trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Monitor competitor activity and assess market positioning to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Support business case development for new markets, sectors, and partnerships.
  • Assist in the development and execution of STRABAG UK’s strategic growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to assess market entry strategies and business diversification opportunities.
  • Support long-term business planning, including forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Work closely with bid teams to align strategic priorities with tenders and client requirements.
  • Develop value propositions and differentiators for major project opportunities.
  • Assist in relationship management strategies with key stakeholders and clients.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and briefing materials for senior leadership.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration between business development, commercial, and operational teams.
  • Engage with external partners, industry bodies, and government agencies to support strategic initiatives.
