Hello there, I’m Maddison, a qualified pluralistic integrative counsellor, with a personal and professional understanding of and special interest in Neurodivergence. I have lived experience of neurodivergence, being late diagnosed as Autistic and having ADHD at 23, and am a strong supporter of the Neurodiversity paradigm.
I also have a personal understanding of living with chronic illness, having been diagnosed with a rare autoimmune condition at 23.
I offer a warm, empathic, non-judgemental, and flexible approach to working with clients, providing a supportive and safe space to explore, process, and work through unique challenges.
Working pluralistically means that I value each client as an individual, the expert of themselves. Each client will have different needs at different times during counselling. The therapeutic process involves flexible collaboration, tailoring my approach to each session to ensure you can achieve what you want from our sessions. Whether you need a space to be heard, to process trauma, to come to terms with difficult changes or losses, or to explore and challenge negative thinking, we can work together to achieve your goals.
I understand that at times we can feel stuck or unhappy with our lives or self-perception, and changing can be difficult. Through counselling, I aim to encourage you to accept change as an inevitable part of life and empower you to take the necessary steps to see the changes you desire, reflecting on what those steps may be and supporting you to recognize and embrace your strengths and potential.
I offer counselling online, over the telephone, or via email. I also provide a free 15-minute telephone consultation to see if we’re the right fit for each other. Please feel free to get in touch via telephone, email, or my website – turningpagecounselling.com – I look forward to hearing from you.
