An established industry player is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to tackle exciting design challenges in the Nuclear industry. Would you like to solve some of the most interesting design challenges in the Nuclear industry today? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join their existing team in Warrington, Manchester (hybrid working, 2 to 3 days a week onsite) on a 12 month contract.
As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you will provide support and technical guidance for a team of multi-disciplined designers. The role will assure the quality of output to the required standards consistent with whole lifecycle from concept to in service support.
The role requires a good understanding of engineering and design practices as relevant to the individuals discipline and the holder must be able to demonstrate appropriate CAD skills as well as good written and verbal communications. Requires specialist knowledge and substantial experience in a design subject area. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
In addition, you will also advise and assist in selecting the correct methods and tools for tasks and provide technical assistance to allocated team of Designers and contribute to the preparation/production of drawings in support of basic, detail and production design in line with recognised ISO standards and to the required time, cost and quality requirements.
