Job description

Reduce cost, improve the overall organization performance and customer satisfaction by improving product and service delivery to the customer and product availability.

To work as part of the Operational Management Team to manage, develop and to continually improve all Supply Chain and infrastructure operations.

Key Performance Indicators/Dimension of Function

Inventory value to agreed targets, inventory turns optimized, On Time in full customer and supplier deliveries. Transport and delivery costs to budget.

Core Actions/Area of Responsibility

  • Procurement Scheduling of all goods that require plans to control future demand.
  • Optimizing internal and cross-functional purchasing processes in cooperation with all departments.
  • Establishing best practice tools and processes within purchase area.
  • Continuous analysis of the global purchasing and commodity markets (“Market Intelligence”), deduction of adequate activities and use of appropriate instruments (hedging, price models, etc.).
  • Identification and qualification of new suppliers, ensuring and refining defined quality standards.
  • Preparation and execution of new suppliers, ensuring a highly competitive supplier portfolio.
  • Conducting purchasing negotiations with general managers of international suppliers.
  • Establishing Risk Management, securing and optimizing the supply chain.
  • Creation of agreements and control of supplier contracts including quality declarations, specifications, logistics agreements which meet the company’s compliance guidelines.
  • Management and improvement of supplier portfolio as well as individual supplier performance.
  • Present the results of the purchasing activities.
  • Initiation and execution of projects for continuous improvement of total costs, quality, delivery reliability and Working Capital.
  • Set up and maintain suppliers master data within the ERP system and support the set up of product master data.
  • Forecasting, inventory profiling to establish required Kan Bans and replenishment cycles to achieve lowest possible material and product inventory levels.
  • Drives continuous improvement of KPIs e.g. Process visibility, Cost Base reduction, Supplier Base consolidation, improved cash position and inventory reduction.
  • Undertake the Line Management responsibility to ensure formal performance reviews are conducted when applicable.
