Team: Data

Location: Remote work from anywhere (should be available in the UK time zone, GMT)

Time Commitment: Approximately 3-4 hours per working day for one month, depending on discussion and availability.

As a small charity working to disrupt the global business of human trafficking, gathering intelligence, and delivering campaigns and projects around the world, we recognise that our team is strengthened by the knowledge, experience and insights that people from a wide range of backgrounds bring. Summary

We’re looking for volunteers to support our mission by working with AI-integrated tools to annotate and prepare data. This exciting role offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology while making a tangible impact in the fight against human trafficking.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Annotation: Use tools like Label Studio to annotate data, leveraging predictions from large language models to streamline the process.
  • Data Classification: Organise and classify data into specific categories to support machine learning development.
  • Quality Assurance: Validate and verify the accuracy of annotated data to maintain high standards.
  • Contextual Understanding: Interpret sensitive data carefully, ensuring contextual accuracy in the annotation process.

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality and accurate annotations.
  • Strong proficiency in reading and comprehending English articles for effective data labelling.
  • Analytical thinking and ability to organize data systematically on annotation platforms.
  • Basic technical skills to navigate and use annotation tools efficiently.
  • Understanding of annotation guidelines to maintain consistency and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (optional but beneficial) to understand the impact of labelled data.
