Scope
Responsible for the performance of the finance department reporting to the Chief Financial Officer regarding all financial and accounting activities. Oversees the day-to-day activities of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Strategy - Contribute from a financial perspective to business strategy development.
  • Financial Control - Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Ensure policies and controls reflect the latest technical accounting standards and guidance. Ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Financial Reporting - Ensure clear, accurate and timely internal financial reporting (weekly / monthly). Provide value added analysis to ensure that the financial performance of the business is understood by the board of directors. Proactively contribute to corrective action plans to drive and deliver the required business performance.
  • Forecasts/Budget - Contribute to the preparation of realistic monthly rolling forecasts. Assist with the preparation of budget assumptions and coordinate consolidation of budget inputs. Prepare budget deliverables.
  • IT - Liaise with IT to optimise system use and maximise efficiency / minimise risk. Act as a main contact point with IT.
  • Compliance - Ensure compliance with all tax and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Cash - Improve financial procedures to optimise working capital. Ensure accurate short term cashflow forecasting.
  • People Management - Manage the Finance function. Recruit, lead, motivate and inspire direct reports to achieve personal development and continual improvement.

Knowledge And Expertise

Qualifications

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant ACA, CA, CIMA, ACCA
