Maintenance Engineer

The company is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to support continued growth and development. Working in a busy factory environment at our headquarters and manufacturing facility in Antrim, your main duties will be undertaking various preventative maintenance and repair tasks on a range of equipment, providing support where required within the factory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installing, modifying and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including CNC Routers, Saws, Sanders, Extraction, Presses, Spray equipment, etc.
• Inspecting machinery, examining drawings or specifications.
• Responding immediately to equipment breakdowns.
• Fixing faults or arranging for replacements to be installed.
• Carrying out routine servicing schedules.
• Keeping production managers informed of progress.
• Collating and suggesting continuous improvements.

Person Specification:

Education: Completed an appropriate mechatronics or electrical apprenticeship or equivalent HNC / NVQ3 certificate in mechatronics / electrical engineering.

Technical Competence/Ability:

• Proven track record in fault finding and repair of CNC Machines and controllers (both mechanical and electrical faults).
• PLC experience would be advantageous.
• Experience working with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic drawings.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Flexibility to work additional hours to complete business critical repairs.
• Complying with the appropriate Health & Safety standards including PPE.
