As a JourneyBlazers Salesforce Application Developer, you will be responsible for translating functional business requirements into well-developed solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform. You will work closely with both JourneyBlazers architects and business analysts to deliver innovative functionality that pushes the boundaries of what is possible using the Salesforce platform. Our developers are not afraid of blending declarative and programmatic development resources including lightning components, apex, triggers, workflows, approval processes, validation rules and visualforce pages. As a developer, you will be hands on with the development of new functionality and will be expected to not only deliver functionality to meet requirements, but also to ensure solutions follow JourneyBlazers’s philosophy of human centered design and intuitive user experiences. Responsibilities:

1. Embrace and promote a culture of continuous learning and development by leading internal development training sessions, mentoring and advising fellow developers and configuration specialists, and supporting the development of a common component library.
2. Design, develop, test, and deploy high quality Salesforce solutions utilizing SFDC best practices while balancing the unique needs of our clients.
3. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within your teams.
4. Support business customers closely with support and remediation for bugs/outages.
5. Implement O&M plans for existing solutions, including development of new features and functionality based on the product backlog.
6. Collaborate with fellow developers to creatively solve client problems across the business, and design solutions that can be repurposed across business units.
7. Identify and develop reusable assets and accelerators based on reoccurring client themes.
8. Communicate project status and blockers to project architects, and engage fellow developers as needed to maintain project velocity.
9. Implement AppExchange and other non-native platforms to extend base Salesforce functionality.
10. Maintain Salesforce credentials and stay current on the latest force.com technologies to communicate trends and future needs to clients as well as leadership.
11. Develop solutions which adhere to Salesforce platform governor limits and performance best practices.
12. Build meaningful relationships with clients to enable the delivery of innovative and high-quality Salesforce solutions.

Required Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree or armed forces experience.
2. Eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
3. 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce developer.
4. Proficiency with declarative Salesforce development, including but not limited to objects, workflows, process builders, lightning app builder, approval processes, visual flows, email alerts, communities.
5. Proven knowledge and practical application of Salesforce development, including but not limited to lightning visualforce, apex, lightning components, force.com APIs and web services.
6. Demonstrate sharp, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to grasp concepts quickly.
8. Functional knowledge of Salesforce.com data structure and understanding of how to leverage the tool to meet complex process and reporting requirements.
9. Ability to work across multiple projects/priorities while maintaining sound development practices to ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with MuleSoft, Heroku, Einstein Analytics.
2. Experience with GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Checkmarx.
3. Unique combination of being business-minded and highly analytical while also having a strong and deep technical background in Salesforce.com.
4. Able and willing to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with minimal supervision.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills, verbal and written to both technical and non-technical audiences that are in a geographically dispersed environment (conference calls, Skype, face-to-face).
6. Take initiative to recommend process improvements and demonstrate creative thinking.
7. Knowledge and experience with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder.
2. Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I.
