Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

JOB TITLE: Maintenance Joiner / Carpenter / Fabric Engineer

LOCATIONS: Trafford Shopping Centre, Manchester

SHIFT PATTERN: Monday – Friday, 08.00 – 16.00. Also need to cover 1 weekend in 6, paid at time half overtime.

SALARY: £32,000 - £34,736 per annum – Depending on experience

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

Carry out and complete PPM tasks and reactive breakdown works around site. The role will be varied maintenance works and the successful candidate will need to be able to work within a maintenance team and support other trades which may include fabric, and plumbing tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• PPM duties include but are not limited to fire door checks, basic joinery, pump inspections, basic plumbing, flagging and general fabric repairs.
• To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Contract Manager, including repair and preventative maintenance of building fabric and other duties in support of the rest of the team.
• To close/update completed PPM tasks on the site maintenance system.
• To co-ordinate subcontractors’ requirements both for PPM and reactive works.
• Ensure company & site health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works.
• Assist with site emergencies.
• Carry out tasks within typical plantroom environments and at high levels, working from platforms and ladders when required.
• Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
• To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.
• Complete any other associated task requested by the management.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• The successful candidate will be able to work well within a team as well as on their own and will have a high level of experience as a facilities maintenance engineer and a sound knowledge of building systems.
