Are you a skilled Platform Engineer with expertise in cloud infrastructure and automation?

We’re looking for a talented individual to join our newly established Platform Engineering team to design, implement, and manage our modern cloud platform using cutting-edge technologies and practices.

About the Role

As a Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining self-service platform capabilities, focusing on automation, security, and enabling development teams to work efficiently in the cloud.

You will work alongside our development and IT operations teams, supporting a team of 30+ professionals. Our technology landscape includes:

1. Data implementations utilizing Databricks and Python
2. CI/CD automation across all codebases

Our team is focused on creating a self-service platform that automates manual processes, enhances CI/CD pipelines, and improves deployment and monitoring.

What We’re Looking For

Key Skills & Experience

1. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in Azure ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform
2. Containerization & Orchestration: Experience with Docker & Kubernetes
3. CI/CD & GitOps: Strong expertise in GitHub Actions and workflow automation
4. Scripting & Automation: Advanced skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python
5. Monitoring & Observability: Experience with Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana
6. Security & Compliance: Knowledge of Azure security services & regulatory frameworks

Capabilities

1. Security-first mindset, including secure handling of secrets & sensitive data
2. Strong analytical skills to evaluate build vs buy solutions
3. Ability to automate repetitive tasks & optimize performance
4. Proactive approach to identifying & resolving systemic issues
5. Cloud certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer)
6. Understanding of DevSecOps principles

1. Design, implement & support self-service platform capabilities using Azure
2. Optimise cloud resources following GitOps principles
3. Implement monitoring, alerting & observability solutions
4. Develop security policies & contribute to compliance frameworks
5. Support M&A activities & integration of acquired businesses
6. Maintain technical documentation & runbooks
