As the Senior Management Accountant reporting to the Head of Finance (Operations), your role encompasses the production of management accounts, statutory accounts completion, VAT handling, and coordination with auditors during year-end. You play a pivotal role within the Finance Team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting for key stakeholders across the business. Responsibilities include monthly Management Accounts preparation, ledger management, consolidation across multiple legal entities, advanced system knowledge including BI tools, and data handling across various sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly Management Accounts within strict deadlines, including variance analysis.
  • Reconcile key Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Assist in Cashflow management and forecasting.
  • Generate accurate KPIs for the Head of Finance (Operations), leveraging automation and BI tools.
  • Complete statutory accounts for the Group and related returns.
  • Act as the primary contact for audit requirements.
  • Support executives with ad-hoc tasks.
  • Analyze company budgets to aid the FP&A Leader and review cost-reduction strategies.
  • Prepare financial reports monthly and yearly in compliance with UK GAAP.
  • Manage treasury and banking relationships.
  • Oversee Payroll and related matters.
  • Continuously improve financial processes to support all activities.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in a management accountant role.
  • Commercially oriented mindset.
  • Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant/Accounting Technician or Degree Business Graduate.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical/Healthcare market or FMCG/product-based industries.
  • Exposure to Private Equity or stand-alone SME businesses.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP (ECC6 or By Design) is desirable.
  • Numerical and analytical aptitude.
  • Attention to detail and proactive attitude.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical/FMCG industry.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA preferred) or Part-Qualified.
