SaaS Business Development Manager – UK Sales

Location: UK - Remote

As we continue to expand our footprint in the UK, we're seeking an experienced SaaS Business Development Manager to join our team and help accelerate sales and market penetration. This position requires you to be based in the UK, with occasional travel expected to visit prospects, customers, and to attend regional events.

Job Description

You will play a key role in driving Campaigner’s sales growth across the UK market through both inbound leads and outbound lead generation activities. This position is ideal for someone with a proven track record in SaaS sales, strong business acumen, and the ability to identify and close new business opportunities. You will work closely with senior leadership to implement strategic sales initiatives, foster relationships with new clients, and expand Campaigner’s presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities within the UK market through research, prospecting, cold outreach, and networking.
  • Respond to and work inbound leads that come in via our marketing activities.
  • Qualify and engage potential leads to understand their business needs and introduce Campaigner’s suite of solutions.

Lead Generation & Qualification

  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads, ensuring consistent progress through the sales funnel.
  • Conduct initial product demonstrations and value-based consultations with prospects, showcasing how Campaigner’s platform solves their unique business challenges.

Relationship Building & Networking

  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and key stakeholders in prospective client organizations.
  • Attend relevant industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to represent Campaigner and expand the sales network.
  • Lead sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations with prospective clients, working closely with internal teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Close deals effectively and efficiently, driving new customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, account management, customer success, and sales colleagues to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on sales progress, opportunities, challenges, and market feedback to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in SaaS sales or business development, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving new business.
  • Demonstrated experience in the UK market and understanding of local market dynamics in SaaS, marketing technology, or similar industries.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS sales cycles, from lead generation to contract negotiation and deal closure.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline and leverage CRM tools to track and optimize sales efforts.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a customer-centric approach to solution selling.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with email marketing or marketing automation platforms is a plus.
