This post is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Clinical Psychologist interested in developing further their skills in clinical neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation.
The position would suit someone newly qualified, or someone who brings transferable skills from another clinical psychology qualified role.
The post is based in Gravesham Community Hospital together with another Senior Clinical Psychologist and close to the Community Neurorehabilitation Team.
The post is primarily clinic-based, but travel to patients at home and to Care Home settings is sometimes required.
The job is diverse and rewarding, focused on developing patient-centred neuropsychological interventions for people with stroke and acquired brain injury and their families or carers living in the Dartford & Gravesend area.
The clinical work will include supporting people with their emotional adjustment to changes that have occurred and offering neuropsychological assessment.
Within the Kent Neuropsychology Service, there is a strong rehabilitation focus and clinicians have interests in a range of therapeutic models including Systemic models, Mindfulness, ACT, and CBT.
The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
At KMPT, we are serious about diversity and inclusion, and we are working hard to build this into our DNA. We warmly welcome applications for any of our roles from people from diverse backgrounds, and we are proactively encouraging applications from under-represented communities for our more senior roles, like this one.
