Knovia has an exciting new role for a Shared Services Manager to join our wider finance department and drive impact, growth and change across the finance shared service.

Position

Location: Remote with occasional national travel for 1:1s and meetings

Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience

The Knovia Group are looking for an experienced Finance Shared Services Manager to join our growing team of finance professionals in our shared services department, and control, oversee and ensure the effective management of both the payroll and transactional finance functions.

In this exciting new role, you will report into the Head of Finance and be responsible for the management of both functions and provide efficient support to all companies within the wider Knovia Group. You will use your finance expertise and strong leadership capability to lead the payroll and finance function to deliver an excellent support service, ensuring all payroll is processed timely and efficiently and all transactions are processed in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key tasks include:

  1. Maintain the integrity of the finance systems by ensuring all transactional inputs are entered timely and accurately
  2. Ensure the correct VAT rate is applied to all invoices
  3. Lead the team in the day-to-day operations of the AP/AR functions
  4. Involvement in cash flow reporting and forecasting
  5. Regularly review the aged Debtor/Creditor reports, highlighting areas of concern and providing solutions for resolution where necessary
  6. Proactively manage the relationship with third-party payroll system suppliers, being at the forefront of any changes or developments, and training colleagues where required to ensure a seamless process
  7. Provide support to wider finance shared service colleagues including the Financial Controller, Head of Finance and CFO where required
  8. Awareness of GDPR legislation and Data Protection policies, adhering to all internal information security procedures

Requirements

What we need from you:

  1. Fully qualified accountant CIMA, ACA, ACCA
  2. Extensive experience working in a finance environment
  3. Experience working with payroll bureaus and their systems
  4. Sound understanding of VAT returns
  5. Ability to manage own time and resources effectively without close supervision
  6. Advanced Excel User and able to use MS Office systems effectively
  7. Able to drive performance within a team through effective coaching and management
  8. Able to travel nationally if required for meetings and 1:1s
