NELFT has sites across North East London, Essex, Kent and Medway. We provide community and mental healthcare services to adults and children within these areas.
The Trust has award winning equality and diversity initiatives and staff health and wellbeing activities. We invest heavily in your development, because when you are valued and supported, we provide the best care to our patients. We are a Level 3 Disability Confident Leader, have been featured in the Working Families Top 10 Employers benchmark for three consecutive years, and we have achieved a Carers UK Level 1 Accreditation. Along with our staff networks and training opportunities, we work hard to embed a just and compassionate culture here at NELFT.
There is an exciting part-time opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated therapist to be recruited into a Band 7 position in the Urgent Community Response Team called CTT. You will be working with a broad spectrum of professionals in a forward-thinking and supportive team. This post would be suitable for either an experienced band 7 physiotherapist looking to expand their knowledge and skills in crisis management; previous community-based work is desirable but not essential. You will receive regular supervision, training and support from highly skilled colleagues to address your learning needs and work closely with other members of the MDT. Internal and external courses are supported as part of your CPD.
As a senior member of the team, your role is primarily to deliver face-to-face services across the boroughs, including assessments, group education and post assessments in line with National guidance. As a Band 7 role, you will also be expected to provide clinical education for students regularly and further develop your management skills by conducting regular supervision and appraisal for other members of the team. You will be joining a well-established team of supportive staff.
This is a part-time post of 22.5 hours per week, including weekends. Timetable is negotiable. The role has both management and clinical responsibilities and there is opportunity for agile / home-based working.
NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735) (pro rata for part-time staff).
Community Treatment Team provides a well-coordinated and high-quality service to patients of Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge and surrounding areas, to ensure the complex needs of the client group are provided close to home and thus a car driver is essential. You will be a car owner/driver or have access to a car, and a current UK driving license is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
