Responsibilities
Create and execute purchasing strategies that enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
Evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and secure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery conditions.
Stay informed on market trends, pricing changes, and supplier performance to guide purchasing decisions.
Work closely with production and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing.
Keep accurate records of inventory, purchase orders, and supplier contracts, while analyzing data to forecast future purchasing requirements.
Qualifications
Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
Demonstrated experience as a buyer or procurement professional in the food industry.
In-depth knowledge of sourcing, supply chain management, and market trends.
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
