Position

Main Responsibilities

  1. Process new business, renewal and mid-term adjustments efficiently, effectively and in accordance with the clients' instructions, adhering to regulatory requirements and company procedures.
  2. Preparation of presentations and submissions to insurers, placement team and suppliers.
  3. Negotiate policy terms, conditions, premium and income.
  4. Review market results, analyse information gathered and undertake sufficient research, to make suitable insurer and product recommendations and demonstrate competency by explaining the extent of cover.
  5. Production and presentation of client reports for new business quotation and renewal terms.
  6. Provide advice to clients and prospects on an ongoing basis in respect of current insurance policies and additional insurance products for consideration.
  7. Arrange cover to comply with the client instructions.
  8. Check all documentation for accuracy.
  9. Review information and reports as necessary, ensuring that the appropriate action is taken.
  10. Debt management work to ensure premiums and fees are collected and allocated appropriately and keep line manager informed of any current, potential or perceived problems with bad debts.
  11. Assist with any accounting queries and settlement of accounts.
  12. Maintain accurate client and prospect records.
  13. Build good working relationships with internal and external clients.

Requirements

Skills & Job Requirements

  • Cert CII desirable but not essential – ability to evidence continued professional development if not Cert CII qualified.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • An effective team player.

Job Type & Working Hours

  • Location: East - Newport Office.
  • Full-time, 35 hours per week.
  • 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Salary dependent on experience.
