Job description
  • To drive stores sales and performance (District) (relating to KPI's).
  • To deliver operational excellence in terms of visual and service execution and best staffing models.
  • To be the driving influence amongst peer group, exploring all opportunities to grow the DTC model.
  • To be accountable and responsible for store cost budgets including but not limited to Payroll.


2. Position in the organisation

  • Reports directly to: Retail Manager West Europe.
  • Direct reports: Stores in Ireland district.
  • Responsible for all Stores in Ireland district.

The District Manager is responsible for

3 Factory Outlet stores; (2 in Northern Ireland and 1 in Republic of Ireland).

1 Franchise store (in Republic of Ireland).

Base store would be in Antrim, Northern Ireland.


3. Result fields
Sales Delivery and Financial

  • To undertake regular and purposeful store visits in a systematic and consistent manner.
  • To Manage the stores within the area and to maximize sales through having a clear focus on KPIs.
  • To deliver the sales and profit targets for the area, with an aim to increase footfall and conversion rates.
  • To demonstrate effective business planning, maximizing opportunities, minimizing risk and taking corrective action when needed.
  • To dentify threats and opportunities for stores, developing business plans to reflect local influences and competition.
  • Analyse and report weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performances and reports.
  • To support the SM's and execute defined strategic plans and initiatives.


Store Standards, Stock and Visual Merchandising (VM)

  • Work side by side with relevant departments to ensure stock package, standards and VM are correct and consistent in each store.
  • Monitor mix and depth of product, sales density etc.
  • Ensure that VM presentation and merchandise layout of all stores represent the brand image.


Customer Service

Ensure the consistent delivery of the agreed service proposition across the area. Embed a 'service culture' in all stores.


Developing People

  • Ensure that Store Managers are recruited, managed and developed with succession planning in mind.
  • Plan and develop the performance of all direct reports, creating an environment whereby everyone is developed to maximize potential within their roles.
  • Train, coach and develop Store Managers to identify priorities.
  • Demonstrate clear coaching and leadership skills to maximize the performance and contribution of all staff within the district.
  • Identify individual specific personal development and performance improvement needs for each direct report.
  • Work closely with HR representatives and Retail Manager West Europe.
  • Positively contribute to the Retail team through mutual trust and collaboration so that they operate cohesively and influentially.

According to limits of authority.


5. Communication
Internal: all relevant HQ Departments, Retail Manager, HR, Stores inside and outside the district
External: if needed: local offices and/or authorities etc.


6. Job requirements

  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Strong engagement with the ASICS brand and the ASICS values.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Show great judgment.
  • Leadership and strong management skills.
  • Availability to travel + set the personal agenda.
  • Flexible, target driven and open to change.
  • Good communication skills (regular contact with HQ departments).
  • Able to accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prioritise and delegate tasks to deliver the best practice.
