Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our team. The successful candidate will take on a key leadership role within mental health services, providing expert clinical care and guidance to support the wellbeing of adults experiencing mental health challenges. Key Responsibilities:

1. Providing specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adults with a range of mental health disorders.
2. Leading and supervising multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care.
3. Developing and implementing innovative strategies to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
4. Providing clinical leadership and expertise in the development and delivery of mental health services.
5. Participating in service development, audit, and research activities to enhance the quality of care provided.
6. Providing expert advice and consultation to colleagues, patients, and external agencies as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Psychiatry.
2. Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent qualification.
3. Substantial experience working as a Consultant Psychiatrist within adult mental health services.
4. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
5. Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, patients, and stakeholders.
