Are you an experienced CNC Machinist with a passion for precision and delivering high-quality components? A&B Engineering (Southern) Ltd is growing, and we’re looking for the right person to join our skilled team to help maintain our reputation for accuracy and excellence across a range of challenging projects.

We are a well-established, family-run business serving industries where precision engineering matters. Our modern workshop is equipped with some of the best CNC machinery on the market, and our team takes great pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist working with modern CNC machinery
  • Ability to work confidently to tight tolerances with high accuracy
  • A self-starter who is well-organised and able to work independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills and pride in producing quality work

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating Haas, Mazak and Matsuura CNC machinery to produce precision-engineered components
  • Monitoring machine performance and carrying out routine maintenance
  • Working from engineering drawings and specifications to meet quality standards
  • Maintaining accurate production records and reporting any issues
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure deadlines and quality targets are met

This is a full-time, permanent position working 38 hours per week. Our standard working hours are:

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm

Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm

Overtime is offered when available.

Holiday entitlement is currently 28 days per annum including all English public/bank holidays.

Automatic enrolment into the company pension scheme (subject to terms)

On-site parking available for all staff

A competitive hourly rate will be offered, depending on experience.
