Job description

An established Lloyd's broker with hubs in the City of London and Southend, Essex is currently looking to recruit a Claims Technician / Broker to join their successful team.


Job Description

You will be part of a small team of claim specialists who are responsible for the effective recording and progression of international non-marine claims (open market & binders) through the entire lifecycle from notification to closure.


Our client is happy to provide training to develop skills and knowledge but requires at least 2 years London Market claims experience.


Overview

  1. Processing and monitoring claims, dealing with accounting issues and client enquiries.
  2. Broking claims files into the market via ECF.
  3. Reconciling paid claims to bordereaux.
  4. Dealing with issues relating to claims or accounts.
  5. Updating paper files and electronic data.
  6. Dealing with Bureau / Xchanging enquiries.

What you need to show…

  1. Applicants will need to show a working knowledge of ECF.
  2. Use of Brokasure Desktop would be ideal, but not essential.
  3. Good communicational and organisational skills.
  4. Adaptable and flexible.
  5. Team orientated.

What you need to know…

  1. Location: Southend, Essex Office & Home working hybrid option.
  2. Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum, inc. benefits.
  3. Job Type: Permanent.
