Job description

Our centre in the heart of Walton seeks to develop stronger links within our community. We do this by providing a welcoming and safe environment, offering groups and activities for the people of our area to engage with. They can range from foodbanks to playgroups, lunches to holiday clubs, a cuppa and chat to so much more.

This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire, mentor and support children in community. The Salvation Army provides a children’s summer club and we are looking for helpers Monday - Wednesday for the end of July through to mid August.

Opportunities
  • General Volunteer: Able to support throughout the day helping to facilitate activity. You do not need to deliver a specific session for this role.
  • Activity Team Leader: Able to deliver a 45‑minute activity to a small group of children. The session will run three times in total to enable all groups to complete the same activity in a carousel style. You can choose what activity you wish to lead (examples include Drama, indoor sports activity, dance, games, or other areas of interest).
