Job description

Dakota Hotel based in Newcastle is seeking an outgoing individual with waiting experience for the role of Bar Waiter/Waitress to deliver exceptional service to our guests.

Working predominantly evening shifts, this role is ideal for individuals who may have daytime commitments.

We are a brand-new, stylish hotel, ideally situated on the Quayside. Our hotel boasts 118 bedrooms including 33 suites. Dakota Newcastle hosts our renowned Bar & Grill, Champagne Room, Cigar Terrace, and an event space for up to 60.

CONTRACT AND PAY RATE
Earnings are up to £13.21 per hour, paid weekly, equating to a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £24,497 (inclusive of the anticipated tronc payment).

The role is a fixed-term contract concluding on 28th September 2025 (inclusive), offering 30 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, including weekends.

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing table service within the bar, taking guest orders, and running trays of food and drinks to guest tables.
• Offering the highest levels of guest service, including personalized drink recommendations and engaging in genuine conversations to connect with guests.
• Collaborating closely with the Restaurant and Reception teams to ensure effective communication flow.
• Having a comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage menus to offer recommendations and understand allergens present.
