Overview

Join us as an Asset Strategy Manager at Thirteen Group!

Role Overview: Thirteen Group is on the lookout for an Asset Strategy Manager. In this pivotal role, you’ll help shape and deliver an asset strategy that enhances the quality and performance of our asset portfolio. Your work will ensure we maintain long-term, sustainable assets that meet current and future customer needs.

This is a hybrid role, so you’ll work mainly from home and at least one day a week from our office at Hudson Quay in Middlesbrough. We’ll need you to be flexible around business and team needs, so you may need to come into the office more frequently when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage appraisal activities that drive evidence-based decision making and shape asset strategies.
• Coordinate strategy implementation, including the repurposing or disposal of assets through sale or demolition.
• Support strategic asset portfolio optimisation. You’ll deliver transparent option appraisals and recommendations, incorporating feedback from a range of stakeholders.
• Support with the development and implementation of asset management strategies that strengthen the long‑term performance and resilience of the portfolio.
• Manage property portfolio projects. You’ll oversee and coordinate localised improvements, property acquisitions, disposals and demolitions across our asset portfolio.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks across portfolio projects. You’ll drive continuous improvement through your analysis of performance data and comprehensive reporting.

About You

• Significant experience managing a diverse portfolio of land and property assets.
• You’ll have a degree or HNC/HND in a property-related discipline, or experience in asset management, surveying or property. It would be a bonus if you’re a member of a professional body such as RICS or CIOB.
• Confident in using Asset Management systems and modelling tools, with a solid understanding of foundational asset management principles.
• Proven ability to develop and present complex options appraisals in relation to property assets.
• Expertise in managing property acquisitions, disposals and demolition project delivery, delivering in line with asset management principles and standards.
