Research Fellowship Program - Global Call
The InternationalPotato Center (CIP) is pleased to announce a global call for applications forits Research Fellowship Program. This program aims to support innovativeresearch in the fields of potato and sweetpotato science, agriculturaldevelopment, and food security. The selected candidate will provide high-level scientificsupport to CIP’s Science Directors in areas of research, analytics, knowledgemanagement, and publications.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Conductdesk-based research on topics assigned by the assigned leader, includingreviewing the latest publications and evidence in areas such as agriculture,food, nutrition, poverty, climate change, and the environment.
- Source andperform basic analysis of (mainly) secondary data and produce infographics.
- Drafttechnical briefs, reports, sections of publications, and presentations for useby CIP’s Scientists and Directors. This may involve gathering input frominternal teams and external partners.
- Compiletechnical institutional reports by sourcing and integrating inputs from variousinternal science and regional teams.
- Build andmaintain excellent and trusted communication channels within the organizationand with external partners to ensure timely and equitable sharing ofinformation.
- Support the ScienceDirectors’ external communications and technical correspondence as assigned .
Requirements
- Soundtechnical understanding of global development trends and entry points for CIP’sscience and innovation.
- Excellentskills in scientific and technical literature reviews and data sourcing.
- Stronganalytical skills in quantitative and qualitive data.
- Excellenttechnical English writing skills.
- Strongtime-management skills and an ability to work at a fast pace and coordinatemultiple concurrent projects.
- Excellentinterpersonal communication skills across a multi-national and multi-culturalwork environment.
