Une organisation renommée recherche un consultant pour faciliter la mise en œuvre de réunions et d'ateliers sur le projet ‘Building Asia-Africa BlueTech Superhighway’ en Mozambique. Le candidat idéal devra posséder un diplôme supérieur en économie agricole ou un domaine connexe et avoir une compréhension approfondie de la chaîne de valeur aquicole. Il/elle devra également pouvoir travailler efficacement avec divers groupes communautaires, privés et gouvernementaux tout en apportant des compétences en facilitation et un bon sens de la présentation.

Qualifications

  • Expérience en processus participatifs pour le développement de la théorie du changement dans l'agriculture.
  • Connaissance des Objectifs de Développement Durable (ODD).
  • Proficience en langues locales requise.

Responsabilités

  • Préparer et co-faciliter des ateliers et réunions d'inception sur le projet AABS.
  • Compilant des rapports détaillés sur les discussions et les activités.
  • Assurer une collaboration efficace entre les parties prenantes locales.

Description du poste

The purpose of this position is to facilitate the inception meeting of the project ‘Building Asia-Africa BlueTech Superhighway (AABS) in Mozambique and coordinate theory of change workshops under this project. The workshop will be organized by WorldFish and will be held in Mozambique in October 2024.

Objectives:

The consultant is expected to:

  1. Lead the preparation of a 1-day AABS inception meeting and three systems-based theory of change workshops.
  2. Co-facilitate the AABS inception meeting and systems-based theory of change workshops.
  3. Compile the final workshop reports.
  4. Arrange a one-day AABS project inception meeting and provide a brief meeting report.
  5. Co-facilitate the one-day AABS project inception meeting with detailed reports summarizing proceedings and outcomes.
  6. Arrange a 3-day AABS WP3 systems-based theory of change workshops and provide a brief workshop report.
  7. Co-facilitate the WP3 workshops and provide detailed reports on activities, discussions, and outcomes.
  8. Arrange a 3-day AABS WP1 systems-based theory of change workshops and provide a brief report.
  9. Co-facilitate the WP1 workshops and provide detailed reports on activities, discussions, and outcomes.
  10. Arrange a 3-day AABS WP4 systems-based theory of change workshops and provide a brief report.
  11. Co-facilitate the WP4 workshops and provide detailed reports on activities, discussions, and outcomes.

Requirements

The consultant must possess the following skills and competencies:

  • At least a postgraduate degree in Agricultural Economics, Aquaculture or Fisheries Economics/Management, Rural Development, or a related discipline. A PhD or MSc with over 5 years of experience is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in translating English to Portuguese, with understanding of linguistic nuances and cultural context.
  • Experience in leading participative processes for value chain mapping and developing theory of change in agriculture or aquaculture interventions.
  • Ability to facilitate teams, encourage collaboration, and share knowledge.
  • Good understanding of the aquaculture and/or fisheries value chain.
  • Ability to work with local government, private sector, and community stakeholders, facilitating understanding among groups with different perspectives.
  • Working knowledge of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • High-quality report writing skills.

Proficiency in written and spoken English and Portuguese, and proficiency in any two local languages, is required.
