The quality control technician promotes quality awareness and ensures that the quality control process is followed consistently and supports functions (production and logistics) to ensure the system is up to date and actual practices. The Quality Control Technician is the partial backup of the quality manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensuring that all employees comply with all H.B. Fuller policies.
Ensuring compliance with appropriate laws and regulations.
Coordinates the day-to-day activity of the quality control lab.
Ensures that all safety protocols are respected, and good housekeeping is maintained.
Ensures the quality team is sufficiently qualified and trained.
Smooth handling of all activities related to the quality control of received raw materials, products in production, and finished goods to meet customer requirements.
Coordinates with R&D to continuously improve process control.
Analyzes customer complaints, fills in report forms, completes SFDC, and provides root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action plans to customers. Works in multifunctional teams with production, logistics, process, R&D, and maintenance when needed.
Provides internal quality training.
Conducts 5S checklist and follow-up, keeping the quality control lab under 5S principles.
Participates in Quality Management System Activities.
Involvement during internal & external audits (ISO, Customer, Automotive, Housekeeping).
Responsible for timely responses/resolutions to quality complaints and internal complaints/alerts.
Timely Reporting.
Minimum Requirements:
Bac +2 in chemistry or High school degree (BACC Chimie) with 5+ years of experience in the adhesive industry.
Good written and verbal communication skills (French & English).
