Job description
We are currently looking for a high-performing, detail-oriented and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer. In this role you will be an important part of Supplier Development Engineering team within Supply Chain team for Thruster Systems.
Responsibilities
- Handle concessions with sub suppliers and engineering
- Handle minor NCRs with sub suppliers
- Provide support and guidance to suppliers
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including internally procurement, engineering, inspectors and production and externally sub suppliers to ensure seamless supply chain operations
- Continuous improvement and development of the process related to the supplier quality
Qualifications and experience
- Must have ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Understanding of the shipbuilding or engineering industry helps in this role
- Understanding of Quality Management System ISO9001 and former quality background is an advantage
