Job description

We are looking for a new Senior Full-stack Developer in the technology unit at Virta, with strong skills in Back-End development. Our applications are making the charging experience simple and effortless for electric vehicle drivers.

Location – Finland & Romania

Responsibilities:

• Making the future world more sustainable by building services optimizing energy flows on both small and large scales, eventually building energy management services controlling up to thousands of various devices, such as AC & DC chargers, V2G chargers, smart batteries, etc. across the globe.
• Identifying and solving complex technical problems. Encouraging innovation and staying updated with emerging trends in software development to continually improve existing systems.
• Involvement in architectural decision-making processes, ensuring that software architecture aligns with business objectives and industry standards that build the foundation for creating highly scalable and reliable services.
• Working closely with other departments to better understand customer needs and translate them into effective software solutions.
• Creating detailed technical documentation for software systems and promoting knowledge sharing within the team.
• Ensuring high standards of quality in software development through rigorous testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.

Requirements:

We are looking for a skilled full-stack developer to join our team, which specializes in designing, building, and maintaining APIs, automation services, and user interfaces. Our primary technologies include Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL for backend development, and React for front-end development. Currently, we are using AWS intensively to deploy our services. We also work extensively with various service integrations across different infrastructures, like Kubernetes, Docker, and Datadog.

Our current technology stack includes:

• NodeJS microservices with Typescript and NestJS
• React based end user UIs
• MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Kafka, all running on AWS
• Microservice deployment on top of Kubernetes
• GitLab Pipelines for CI/CD systems
