Manager, Logistics Development

Global Delivery Operations (GDOPS) is a central team collaborating with our Regional Operations teams by driving our long-term operations strategy and operating model development. We work closely with our regional operations teams, general management and key functional leaders across dimensions such as Product and Analytics, and drive forward company-wide projects with high strategic importance.

The Logistics Development team within GDOPS plays a pivotal role in shaping our Logistics Network by working closely with our Regional Operations and Product teams. The team works extensively in designing an optimal delivery logistics network for Wolt, improving efficiency while obsessing over customer experience. Our work constitutes improving our delivery promise, estimate accuracy, and delivery task allocation, as well as removing inefficiencies in the delivery journey. Together with our country operations teams, we ensure our cities, fleets, and delivery areas are set up optimally to maximize growth, quality, and efficiency. In addition to optimizing for success today, we are working towards setting up the Wolt logistics to serve consumers on longer delivery distances to support new business lines (e.g. Wolt Drive, Parcel delivery, Last mile enablement) and drive new user growth & order volumes.

We are searching for an ambitious and independent Manager, Logistics Development focused on Logistics Efficiency and developing new Verticals!

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing Wolt’s logistics network, focusing on speed, efficiency, and customer experience. Leveraging internal and external knowledge, you will help shape a long-term network vision and translate it into actionable strategies for product and service development. You will drive the development and scaling of delivery products, such as Wolt Drive and Parcel Delivery, while fostering innovation and process improvements through data insights and pilot initiatives.

Your key focus areas will include:

1. Logistics Strategy & Network Optimization: Define Wolt’s logistics strategy across multiple markets, ensuring delivery speed, quality, and cost-efficiency. You will deliver strategic plans for mid- and long-term network growth, enabling Wolt to scale efficiently across new verticals and business lines.
2. Product Development Collaboration: Partner closely with Product teams to identify and prioritize logistics-related features that support your network strategy. Translate strategic initiatives into actionable product requirements, ensuring that product rollouts align with network optimization and operational goals.
3. Operational Model Design: Develop and refine operating models that enhance logistics efficiency. This includes designing frameworks for task allocation, delivery accuracy, performance improvements, and cost management. You will work with regional teams to implement these models and drive improvements across the network.
4. Data-Driven Insights & Innovation: Leverage data analytics to create insights that improve logistics operations. You will ensure that Wolt’s data infrastructure supports the logistics function by establishing metrics and KPIs to measure the success of new initiatives, improvements, and processes.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with internal teams (e.g., Operations, Product) to align logistics strategy across markets. You’ll ensure effective collaboration between all parties and work to remove inefficiencies in the process.

This role requires a strategic mindset, a strong focus on execution, and excellent stakeholder management skills. Working closely with central and regional teams, you will help harmonize processes, drive operational improvements, and ensure that Wolt’s logistics network is optimized for future growth and new business lines.

You will report to our Head of Logistics Development, Global Delivery Operations. Preferred location is in Helsinki, Finland or Berlin, Germany.
