Head of Data, Analytics, and Insights

Supercell is searching for a seasoned, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative leader to spearhead our Data, Analytics, and Insights efforts. You will steer and develop your team leading our work on game performance analytics, marketing and central team analytics, and research.

In this pivotal role, you will craft and manage our comprehensive analytics and data operations and take ownership of our development initiatives in this field. With your team, you will ensure that we harness the power of data, using cutting-edge methodologies and tools to effectively bring insights to our teams. Your approach to data will shape how we leverage insights, game metrics, player behavior, and market trends to enhance our performance, ultimately ensuring Supercell continues to excel within gaming.

This role offers the unique opportunity to work with some of the most beloved mobile games. You will report directly to our COO and you will be a key player in Supercell’s journey to become a truly global games company.

Responsibilities

  1. Define and implement a forward-thinking data and analytics strategy that provides a foundation for long-term operational improvement and positive business impact.
  2. Lead Supercell's data, analytics and research operations and develop the organizational setup to ensure close cross-team collaboration and focus on continuous improvement.
  3. Lead the growth of data, analytics and insights practices to bolster our games' performance.
  4. Take charge and support other leads in key strategic projects spanning various domains aiming to improve our operations and business.
  5. Cultivate, guide, and empower your team of senior data, analytics and research professionals.
  6. Foster a culture of data-driven decision making across Supercell.

Requirements

  1. A minimum of 15 years of experience with at least two areas within analytics, business intelligence, data science, data engineering and/or research/insights.
  2. At least 5 years of experience leading and managing high-caliber data, analytics or data engineering organizations.
  3. Prior expertise from B2C, preferably from gaming or technology related companies.
  4. Exceptional project management skills, with the dedication and proven track record of owning projects from inception to realization.
  5. Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to balance out short and long-term business goals.
  6. Strong leadership and development skills with a team-first and “enable and empower” mentality and capability.
  7. The ability to work effectively and foster collaboration among your team, game development teams and other cross-disciplinary operations.
  8. The confidence and capacity to represent Supercell as a data and analytics ambassador with high-profile external partners.
