We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join us at The Switch, to be part of our mission to electrify the world with game-changing green technologies! You will have the opportunity to join our Power Electronics product line team in Vaasa, as we develop a new generation of game-changing low voltage megawatt-class frequency converters, mainly for the marine industry. Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining circuit diagrams
• Participation in verification of our products
• Participation in our development and delivery projects
• The task can be modified according to the expertise and knowledge you possess

An ideal candidate has

• BSc or MSc in electrical engineering
• Experience in industrial electrical design (eCAD) and configurable product platform, however, we also welcome applications from enthusiastic new graduates
• Basic understanding of power electronics
• Good teamwork and communication skills in written and spoken English
• Basic understanding of relevant rules and requirements:
• Low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies (IEC61439)
• Adjustable speed electrical power drive systems (IEC61800)
• Ship classification societies (DNV, ABS, LR, NK etc.)
• Semiconductor converters - General requirements and line commutated converters (IEC60146-1-1)
• Experience in electrical marine systems
• Experience in low-voltage megawatt-class converter products
• Knowledge of usage and development of ePlan tool
