Reporting to the Director of IT Operations, the Workplace Services Manager will be an innovation focused business and technology leader. The role will focus on managing, monitoring and coordinating the maintenance and support of Caldic’s workplace technology solutions, service and support models. They will also drive compliance and optimization aimed at providing optimal performance to business users across Caldic globally. Collaborating with the wider technology community to deliver first class user experience and service across the business, the candidate will be a self-motivated, excellent communicator, strong negotiator with experience in Cloud architecture, service delivery, contract management, analytical thinking, decision making and presentation skills.
The Workplace Service manager will manage and oversee the delivery of IT services related to end-user devices, applications, and support. The role will lead the transition of Workplace Services management to a Managed Service Partner, focusing on contract/vendor management and service delivery.
The Manager will oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of end-user devices such as desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, and other peripherals. Overseeing the installation, licensing, and updates of software applications used by employees, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and software policies. Managing the IT infrastructure that supports workplace services, including networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud services, to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
The manager will collaborate with the ICS team to Implement and enforce security measures to protect IT assets, data, and systems from cyber threats, viruses, malware, and unauthorized access. Ensuring compliance with security policies, regulations, and industry standards. Managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights to IT resources, ensuring appropriate levels of access based on roles and responsibilities.
They will be responsible for leading the procurement of IT hardware, software, and services, negotiating contracts with vendors, and evaluating vendor performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Developing and implementing IT policies, procedures, and best practices related to IT workplace services, user guidelines, data protection, and IT asset management. Managing collaboration platforms, communication tools, and productivity applications used by employees for efficient teamwork, virtual meetings, document sharing, and knowledge management. Organizing training programs, workshops, and documentation to enhance IT skills and knowledge among employees, promoting continuous learning and development in IT-related areas. Monitoring the performance of IT workplace services, analyzing metrics, and generating reports to evaluate service levels, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
