Solar PV Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering team for PV utility scale plant designs, grid connection infrastructures, BESS, and civil engineering for all European projects.
• Review and verify EPC Contractor designs for compliance with contractual requirements, codes, standards, and industry practices; identify potential risks.
• Monitor construction to ensure adherence to designs and assess any proposed changes.
• Document all site-generated project documentation.
• Prepare and support permitting applications for various approvals; assist the Development team in submission and monitoring.
• Assist Procurement with technical specifications, offer reviews, and contract negotiations for EPC and main equipment tenders.
• Support the construction team with ground studies and external engineering services.
• Optimize PV plant, BESS, and grid connection designs proactively.
• Stay updated on PV and BESS technologies and share knowledge internally.

Academic and Professional Experience:

• Education: Advanced degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Over 10 years in utility-scale photovoltaic projects, covering areas such as site feasibility analysis, technical due diligence (TDD), energy yield assessment (EYA), basic and detailed engineering, construction, and operations & maintenance (O&M).
• Equipment Knowledge: Familiar with the latest main PV equipment.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of Spanish technical regulations and development processes.
• Additional Experience: Valuable experience with power lines, substations, transformers, wind farms, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and hybrid projects.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in PVSyst and AutoCAD.
