We offer a unique living experience, revolutionizing the housing and co-living landscape for international talents. With a portfolio of over 20 apartments in the city, we cater to young professionals, expats, and digital nomads, providing co-living and investment solutions.
Role overview
The Finance Lead will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of weVLC's diverse real estate portfolio. Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Manager will oversee budgeting, financial analysis, investor relations, and regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on real estate investments. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance and control or audit, experience in real estate, and a proactive approach to driving financial performance.
What do you do? / Scope of work
- Oversee budgeting and financial planning processes for multiple entities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and investor expectations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and investor updates.
- Work closely with the accountancy firm to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices, including tax planning and audit preparation.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making on real estate acquisitions, renovations, and asset management strategies.
- Develop and implement efficient processes and controls for invoice management, expense tracking, and financial administration.
- Provide support in developing and maintaining financial models and projections for real estate investments, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
- Build and maintain relationships with investors and stakeholders, providing transparent and proactive communication on financial performance and investment opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field;
- Strong background in financial (group) control.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance, with a focus on finance and investments.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for real estate decision-making.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for real estate projects and portfolios.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices in real estate accounting and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and either Spanish or Dutch.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Commercial/financial mindset with strong focus on solid growth strategies
