Financial Analyst Chemtech  -  Full Time  -  Madrid ,  Spain

Join our Division Chemtech Finance team as Financial Analyst and support the division Controller and division CFO with your financial analysis. 
 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Supporting the division Controller and division CFO by delivering comprehensive and timely financial information for the purpose of business management and decision making.
• Month-end closing activities incl. variance and root cause analysis (actual, budget, forecast).
• Ensuring timely submission of legal entity reporting packages, alignment with Sulzer standards and accuracy of financial records.
• Preparing and delivering trainings to legal entities worldwide for reporting and consolidation system matters.
• Contributing to the monthly preparation of the business review presentation.
• Performing various ad-hoc reporting requests to equip business with financial understanding.
• Monitoring and controlling HQ Cost Centers and CAPEX spending.
• Actively supporting Budgeting and Forecasting processes.
• Identifying and coordinating continuous improvement initiatives for the controlling function.
• Driving automation of reports (QlikSense, QlikView, Sharepoint) and finance process optimization.

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

• Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting, Finance or Controlling.
• Min. 3 years of experience in financial analysis or controlling, preferably in corporate finance.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.
• Experience with consolidation systems.
• Experience with SAP (FI/CO modules) and business application tools.
• Strong analytical personality with high energy to drive for result.
• Strong problem solving and ability to prioritize responsibilities, tasks and processes.
• A positive, flexible and adaptive approach and a team player attitude.
• Fluency in English, German is beneficial.
