CITRIX & MICROSOFT EXPERT

From Robert Walters, we are seeking a CITRIX & MICROSOFT EXPERT to join a lab company based in Barcelona.

We are seeking a skilled Citrix and Software Deployment Expert to join our IT operation team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing Citrix and Microsoft terminal server environments and deploying software applications across various platforms. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Citrix and Microsoft Terminal server environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
Support in design, implement terminal server solutions.
Daily tasks include maintaining and configuring the platform to meet business requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve Citrix-related issues (including applications), including performance optimization, resource optimization, and connectivity issues, while considering the agreed SLAs.
Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices for Citrix environment management and software deployment processes.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to plan and execute Citrix upgrades, patches, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Lead and execute software deployment tasks, including packaging, testing, and rollout of applications using tools such as Microsoft SCCM, Ivanti DSM, or similar.
Coordinate with software vendors and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, assess compatibility, and ensure successful deployment of applications.
Provide technical guidance and support to team members, assisting with troubleshooting complex issues and implementing solutions.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in Citrix virtualization, software deployment, and related areas.
Participate in change management processes, including reviewing proposed changes, assessing impacts, and implementing controls to mitigate risks.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in managing Citrix and terminal server environments, including Citrix Cloud.
Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory including Entra ID, Group Policy.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation and task orchestration.
Experience with software deployment tools and technologies, such as Microsoft SCCM, MSI packaging, or virtualization platforms.
Good English skills are a must.
