Bamboo Energy is a cleantech startup born in Barcelona three years ago. We offer a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud platform to optimize energy flexibility, allowing consumers to reduce their electricity bill and gain extra revenues, helping the integration of renewables in the energy system. We are a young company using deep tech and data to accelerate the energy transition. Our product team is responsible for leading the development of the BambooEnergy platform and ensuring high-quality satisfaction and retention. We are the bridge between our clients and the software development team. We hold design and brainstorming sessions, and we use agile methodologies to assure excellence and timely deliveries.
Our Business Development (BDev) team is responsible for leading the sales development of Bamboo Energy at national and international level.
As a Business Development Manager (BDM), integrated in the BDev Department and depending on the Head of BDev, your main role will be to manage the commercial relationship with new and current customers, to maximize revenues (new opportunities) and the retention rate (ensure renewals, upselling and cross-selling) in coordination with Lead Generation and Products teams
At Bamboo Energy we love flexible remote work. We usually meet in person twice a week in our office in Barcelona, hold design sessions and have fun lunches together.
What will you do at Bamboo?
- Manage commercial relationships with our clients and being the VoC: develop network, identify customer’s organigram and key people, understand client’s needs and their strategic plan in energy services.
- Coordinate all the sales cycle of new leads coming from the Lead Generation team to convert into contracts.
- Maximize the retention rate and existing client’s revenue.
- Identify new business opportunities, evaluating existing/new products and services, preparing and presenting offers and contracts.
- Close follow up of leads performance and KPIs: follow up contracts internal and client’s status reporting, contract execution and billing/payment follow up. Intensive use of CRM.
- Work closely and aligned with our Product team to improve the Customer Journey.
- Coordination and collaboration with other teams such as Administration and Marketing
- Support other BDev activities such as International Sales.
Requirements
- Masters in industrial/energy engineering or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience is sales management in the industrial environment (B2B).
- 2+ years of experience in the energy sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player with collaboration skills.
- Good planning & organizational
Advantageous
- Background and training in sales or business development
- Experience in start-ups/scale-up companies.
- Experience in energy software solutions.
Languages:
- Spanish (native)
