ABAP Developer

Position: ABAP Developer Specialist

Location: Spain

Your candidacy is currently being considered for a requisition for an Alight Inc group company. After the transaction closes, this position will be aligned to the new Payroll & Professional Services owned by HIG Capital (‘Divested Group’). The Role
As a member of the Development Team, the ABAP Developer will be required to program the client's programming requirements based on the provided specifications, and to provide system support/technical knowledge to the project team throughout the project cycle.

Responsibilities

• Create technical specifications of programs/interfaces based on functional specifications provided.
• Implement the client's requirements using technologies such as ABAP/4, SAP Script, etc according to the design documentation and template guidelines utilizing/creating reusable code that is easily upgradeable/maintainable.
• Ensure that the programs/interfaces are Unit Tested including created sufficient test data (such as employee master records) to complete scenario testing.
• Support clients through the User Acceptance, Parallel Testing and Go-Live phases.
• Upgrade programs to be compatible with new releases of R/3 (such as Enterprise/mySAP ERP).

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications

• Experience with ABAP development of min 2 years.
• Experience with developing, configuring and using API’s.
• Two or more years of experience with PCC, Fiori configuration and Webservice.
• Working knowledge of XML.
• Bachelor or Master’s degree with a Technical emphasis, or equivalent.
