We’re looking for a Senior Performance Marketing Manager with at least 8 years of hands-on experience in paid search or paid social. This role requires a strategic thinker who can take full ownership of our paid channels, driving growth through continuous testing and optimization. You should bring a strong analytical mindset, with the ability to manage budgets effectively and make data-driven decisions to improve performance. Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with other teams and play an active role in mentoring junior performance marketing colleagues.
The role will include:
Strategy & Optimization:
Development and execution of the semi-annual channel strategy in alignment with overarching company objectives.
Responsibility for budget planning, forecasting, and achievement of performance targets (CLTV, ROAS).
Design, prioritization, and evaluation of A/B tests to drive continuous performance improvements.
In-depth data analysis to identify growth opportunities and efficiency levers.
Performance Accountability:
Full responsibility for campaign performance and the quality of weekly and monthly reporting.
Management and adjustment of bidding strategies (e.g. tROAS, tCPA) to maximize ROI.
Proactive campaign management based on performance data and strategic priorities.
Mentorship & Collaboration:
You share your knowledge and learnings with the team and contribute significantly to enabling our juniors to develop continuously.
Close collaboration with other teams (SEO, CRM, Web, Design) to ensure a holistic marketing strategy.
Main point of contact for the concept and briefing of new creatives.
Stakeholder Management:
Regular communication of performance, learnings, and strategic plans to the team lead and other stakeholders.
Our marketing team is a blend of creative and data-driven experts. You'll work alongside three content & organic specialists and our performance marketing lead with a shared mission: to build a world-class, in-house marketing function. We are taking the reins from our external agency, and this role is key to that evolution. Your focus will be on owning Paid Search, scaling our growing Paid Social activities, and experimenting across a diverse channel mix that includes direct mail, partnerships, and more.
Essential:
5–8 years of solid experience in performance marketing with a proven track record of scaling Paid Search and Paid Social campaigns.
Deep strategic understanding of auction dynamics, bidding strategies, audience segmentation, and attribution models.
Excellent analytical skills and experience working with large datasets and visualization tools (e.g, Looker).
Experience in planning and evaluating complex A/B tests.
Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on in execution.
Fluency in German is required.
Bonus:
Experience mentoring less experienced colleagues.
Relevant background in fintech or lending.
We expect to pay from €60,000 - €80,000 for this role. But, we’re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance and salary reviews.
